Covid-19 measures

In this difficult situation we must stick together. Even though we were looking forward to all the great news of this season, the health of our guests and our employees is the number one priority. Therefore, we would like to make our contribution to this crisis too, by postponing our re-opening indefinitely. We are sure, that after every storm the sun will shine again and that after this one the sun will shine so beautifully like it never did before!

In the meantime, we are getting ready for the season by specializing ourselves within the range of hygiene and security, by training ourselves and our employees with the help of experts and by taking all the protective measures, in order to guarantee you a beautiful and carefree holiday in our house! We will do our best!

NEW! Modified cancellation policy

Until 31.08.2020 we apply the following cancellation policy for cancellations connected to Covid-19:

  • Written cancellations up to 48 hours before arrival are free of charge (only valid in case of illness and/or travel restrictions due to Covid-19).
  • In case of cancellation at short notice, as well as belayed arrival or premature departure, 100% of the total amount will be charged. (Not consumed meals cannot be reimbursed.)

For cancellations, which are not connected to Covid-19, we apply the following cancellation policy:

  • Up to 2 months before arrival – cancellation is free of charge
  • Up to 1 month before arrival – 40 % of the total amount will be charged
  • Up to 1 week before arrival – 70 % of the total amount will be charged
  • In the last week before arrival day, in case of belayed arrival, premature departure or no-show we will charge 100 % of the total amount as per Italian law.

The cancellation policy is applicable even if the room has fully or partially been resold. Cancellations are only valid if sent in written form.
The deposit will be converted into a voucher, which will be redeemable for a new desired date.
We recommend taking out a travel cancellation insurance directly after booking your holidays, which can simply be made on our homepage.

(The right of withdrawal as laid down in the Consumers’ Code („Notification pursuant to Part III, Section III, Paragraph I of Italian Legislative Decree no. 206/2005 (Consumers’ Code)“) is not contemplated)

The La Maiena hygiene concept

SAFETY FIRST!
Security, cleanliness and hygiene are our top priorities since always. Therefore, we set our highest and most recent hygiene standards throughout all the departments. Each department clean and disinfect their areas daily, following the HACCP colour system.

We are very proud of being able to take precautions against Covid-19 in our hotel, to guarantee the highest level of safety and protection to our guests. So, we can create a safe and carefree holiday without any fear or worries.

Furthermore, numerous areas will be covered with disinfectant dispensers for our guests and employees, to guarantee a high level of safety for everyone.

SOFT OPENING

  • We create space and open our resort only for a reduced number of guests. So, we can guarantee spacious retreat areas in all the public spaces, your very own reserved table for breakfast & dinner and all the sunbeds & daybeds will be placed well-spaced out.

PRE CHECK-IN

  • Easy and fast check-in from your home.
  • On request we await you on arrival at your reserved parking space with the key cards for your room.
  • Our luggage service will be available with respect towards all the safety measures.
  • Face mask, gloves & disinfectant are available on request.

GOURMET

  • The La Maiena is well known for its beautiful panoramic terraces since always. There you can dine morning and evening on your personal reserved table. Stunning view included.
  • Everything in our kitchen is prepared with highest caution and this year with even more love and passion, using especially regional products. All surfaces are disinfected regularly, face mask and gloves are a matter of course.
  • Our buffet will be reinvented. The biggest part of our buffet area will be served by our skilled employees wearing gloves and face mask / protective face shield. As many dishes as possible will be served on your table in a new, creative way.
  • Feel free to use our room service (for a fee) and enjoy your breakfast or dinner privately in your room.
  • According to the current status, guests are not obliged to wear a face mask at their table, but on the way to it. All our restaurant employees work with face mask or protective face shield.

UNDER CONTROL

  • Every guest and employee enter the resort through the main entrance, which is equipped with an infrared camera. The camera measures inconspicuously the body temperature. So, we can eventually immediately react. For our own security and the protection of our guests and employees.

FEEL SAFE

  • Every employee got trained by experts within the range of hygiene. Moreover, every employee will wear gloves and a protective mask.
  • There will be a kit for every guest, including gloves and disinfectant in the room upon arrival.
  • Every public area of the hotel will be cleaned, disinfected and ventilated regularly numerous times a day.  All surfaces and especially all delicate contact points such as elevators, doorknobs, light switches etc. will be disinfected numerous times a day too.
  • Our public toilettes are sufficiently equipped with soap in dispensers and disinfectants. To dry yourself there will be paper towels to use.
  • All our rooms get properly cleaned, disinfected and ventilated daily and/or after every departure.
  • Our cleaning staff always wears face masks and gloves and cleans since years following the HACCP colour system to prevent the carry-over of viruses and bacteria and guarantee highest security and hygiene.
  • There are enough disinfectant dispensers throughout the resort to use freely.
  • For your and our health, we use the professional hygiene products by Hygan/Unyrain.

ONLINE

  • You will find every useful information about the hotel and your favourite newspaper online. With our fast glass fibre internet, you navigate fast and secure.

OPEN SPA

  • All of our pools and Finnish saunas will be opened for you. A transmission of the virus through the pool water is unlikely to happen. Nonetheless, we pay attention to the right distance in pools and saunas. For everyone’s health!
  • We plan on extending the opening hours of sauna and pool area towards the evening to enable a secure and relaxed spa experience for all our guests.
  • Our numerous lounge areas and lawns are available, paying attention to the distancing rules.
  • In every spa area you will find disinfectant and one-way disinfectant towels for the sun loungers or day beds.
  • Massages, cosmetic treatments and appointments at our hairdresser are available following specific hygiene and security measures.

ACTIV OUTDOOR

  • We keep being active and set our focus on outdoor sports and activities. Our position is simply unique – away from overcrowded areas, in the middle of apple meadows of Marlengo. Simply a perfect starting point for all your hikes and bike tours. In and all around Marlengo you will find many different paths from the valley up to the mountain, ideal for families and active hikers.
  • Moreover, we have our two sand tennis courts, many outdoor fitness units and golf courts within spitting distance at your disposal.
  • There will be held numerous activities with a reduced number of participants, because the participation to our sports & active programme will be limited, for your safety.

SAFE KIDS AREA

  • The children’s playroom gets cleaned and disinfected regularly. Toys will not be available directly in the playroom but must be picked up and returned at the reception. There they will be cleaned & disinfected properly after they got returned.
  • Our playground gets cleaned and disinfected regularly too.

EASY CHECK-OUT

  • We would like to arrange your check-out, as easy and fast as the check-in. On request you can review and pay your hotel bill by checking it on your smartphone, the evening before departure day.
